Obituary

Leslie Jay Gomm, 80, resident of Moose Lake, died peacefully in his daughter's care in Moose Lake Village, Moose Lake. He was born in Logan, UT on May 23 rd , 1941 to William and Beulah (Jackson) Martin. He and his siblings were adopted into the care of James and Ada (Fluckiger) Gomm when Leslie was 5 years old.

Les grew up in Utah, and graduated from Star Valley High School before he enlisted in the Army and served our country honorably. He worked for Weyerhaeuser for 15 years as a millworker before a tragic work accident left him permanently disabled. Les was proud member of the local AA group. He worked hard himself to become clean and sober, which he achieved and held for the past over 50 years. Les volunteered countless hours driving people to medical appointments, and taking care of those whom needed taking care of. He was a fisherman at heart and loved the time he spent out on the water.

He was preceded in death by his biological and adopted parents; former wife, Gayle Bodily; sons, Mike Honneywell, John Gomm; daughter, Penny Prukop; brothers, Clyde and Arlen Gomm; and his soul-mate of over 30 years, Marilyn Craver.

Les will be forever remembered by his children, Melodee Honneywell, Lorie (Kevin) Earlywine, Arron (Jen) Gomm, Belinda (Mark) Pliska, and Rhonda (Robert) Goldsmith; former wife, Gay; countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.

Services honoring Leslie's life will be held in Washington State at a future date.
