Obituary

Leverne E. Lake, 78, of Moose Lake, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014. He was born February 25, 1936 in Silver Township to Ervin and Ailie (Lounas) Lake. Leverne was united in marriage to Shirley JoAnne "Tinny" Newbloom on October 24, 1955 in Esko. Leverne had a great love for his wife, Shirley, family, fishing, hunting, camping and last but not least, his love for cars, trucks and most anything with a motor. A great mechanic he was and could seem to make anything run. Leverne worked for Conwed Corporation for 30 years as well as hauling gravel, scrap iron and pulpwood. He loved to keep himself busy with different projects that included an extensive variety of antiques of all sorts. Leverne was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Leverne is remembered lovingly by his 6 children, Susan (Mark) Opdahl, Vicki (Greg) Gamst, Tom (Kathy) Lake, Todd (Connie Olson) Lake, Lisa (Scott) Drewlo and Rick (Kelly) Lake; grandchildren, Christian, Chelsea and Hailee Opdahl, Josh and Jenny Gamst, Tara Wilson, Tia Lake, Lucas Lake, Theresa Cost, Justin, Jacob, Jordan and Lissy Drewlo and Hunter, Brendan, Landen and Taylor Lake; great grandchildren, Gabby, Gracie, Gavin, Alexis, Jaxson, Brielle, Ava, Mya, Michayla and Kendra; 2 sisters, Jane Reinert and Kathleen (Mark) Jennings; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Leverne is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Shirley; his parents; 2 grandsons, Terrance Lake and Michael Gamst; 1 brother-in-law, Cyril Reinert.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, November 6, from 5 PM until the 7 PM Time of Remembrance in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
