Lillian Elizabeth
Anderson
March 17, 1921 – March 14, 2018
Lillian E. Anderson
It is worth great sadness but much rejoicing that we announce the passing of our Dear Sweet Mother, Lillian E. Anderson. Mother passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on March 14, 2018 at the age of 96, just four days shy of her 97 th birthday. We know without doubt she is safe in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mother was born on March 17, 1921 on the family farm in Denham, MN to John and Mary Fenus. Mother walked through the woods to attend the Denham School and went to the 8 th grade. As a young girl, she learned to play the accordion and loved to go to dances at the Bohemian Hall in Denham. But even as a young girl growing up on the farm, she was no stranger to hard work, clearing rocks off fields, haying, milking cows and everything else.
Mother married Vern Anderson on June 21, 1939 and moved to Sturgeon Lake and there raised their 10 children. While Mom had no formal job outside the home, she chose to dedicate herself to the most highest calling of being a faithful wife and totally devoted Mother. Mom enjoyed listening to Billy Graham and her passion was decorating for Christmas for us kids and the countless that would drive out to see her awesome Christmas display which was a work of art and we might say like no other, as she did that for over 65 years.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings; her husband Vern; and oldest daughter: Delores Adamczak.
Mother is survived by daughters: Gloria (Chester) Jurek; Noreen Gladden, Joyce (Stanley) Holmes; sons: Silver (Bernice) Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Wallace Anderson, Spencer Anderson, Link (Debbie) Anderson, and Ace Hi Anderson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; son-in-law: Ernie Adamczak; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private Family services were held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 on her 97 th Birthday, with Pastor Nathan Anderson officiating. Casket Bearers were: Silver Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Wallace Anderson, Spencer Anderson, Link Anderson, and Ace Hi Anderson. Honorary Bearers were Lillian's Grandchildren. Burial was held in Blomskog Cemetery.
