Lorna Rude Bean, 87, of Sturgeon Lake, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her home. She was born January 23, 1925 in Duluth to Arthur and Hildur (Johnson) Rude. Lorna was united in marriage to Don Bean on July 9, 1947 in Mahtowa. Lorna was an elementary school teacher in Cloquet, Esko, Pine City and Moose Lake. She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her husband, Don and spending time with her family and friends. Lorna was a member of the Moose Lake United Methodist Church as well as the church choir.

Lorna is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Evan Rude.

Lorna is survived by her husband, Don Bean of Sturgeon Lake; 1 son, David Bean of St. Paul; 1 daughter, Joan (Warren) Shellhorn of Hilo, HI; 3 grandchildren, Jenny Maki, Julie and Carrie Shellhorn; 1 great grandson, Jayden; nieces and nephews.
