Lorna M. Ohlgren, 92, of Moose Lake, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake.  She was born June 8, 1924 in Moose Lake Township to Swan and Hannah (Borg) Paulson.  Lorna attended Mud Creek School and later Moose Lake High School, graduating in 1941.  She went on to attend Duluth Business College. Lorna worked at the Duluth News Tribune for a short time before moving back to Moose Lake.  She was united in marriage to Ralph Ohlgren on June 26, 1948 in Moose Lake.  Lorna was a bookkeeper for several businesses in the area.  She was also a secretary for the Moose Lake School.  Lorna enjoyed embroidery, gardening and was a very active member of Hope Lutheran Church.  She also enjoyed listening to the Twins on the radio in her younger years.

Lorna is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents; 2 brothers, Enard and Robert Paulson; 3 sisters, Goldie Hammitt, Viola Johnson and Doris Paulson and her loving dog, Mickey.

Lorna is survived by son, Russell (Deborah) Ohlgren of Moose Lake; daughter, Marlene (Paul) Heesch of Waite Park; grandchildren, Janelle Heesch, Amy (Matt) Whaley and Eric Ohlgren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.


Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake.


Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Moose Lake Area Food Shelf or Hope Lutheran Church Building Fund.
