Lorraine Amanda Loew

Lorraine Amanda Loew, 64, Askov, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 due to complications of leukemia and lymphoma.
She was born September 19, 1948 to Paul & Amanda Paulsen on a small farm in Askov and has remained in the area her entire life. Lorraine graduated from Askov High School in 1966. She met the love of her life, Henry Loew when the two were in the fourth grade. Shortly after high school, the two began dating and were married on August 23, 1969 in Sandstone. Lorraine loved being a Mom and especially loved being a Grandma! She enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, gardening, trips to the casino, and collecting craft items. Lorraine worked at East Central Schools for over 20 years as a teachers' aide.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents: Paul & Amanda Paulsen; brother: Paul Paulsen; and a grandson: Elijah.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years: Henry; five children: Jennifer (Brian) Barstad; Tara (Russell) Kukuk; Danielle (Todd) Lindstrom; Joe (Dawn) Loew; and Amanda (Brian) Loew; 9 grandchildren: Noah, Ernest, Emalee, Logan, Brody, Henry, Olivia, Owen, and Ellie; 5 step grandchildren: Brianna, Josie, Jake, Jordan, and Dawson; two sisters: Joanne Ruder and Karla Erickson; twin brother: Robert (Diane) Paulsen; and numerous friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 4-7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue from Noon until the 1PM service on Tuesday, April 30, 2012 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Askov. Cremation will follow the services with private family inurnment at a later date in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Askov.
