Louella Jean Skog, 79 , Sturgeon Lake passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Duluth, MN.
Louella was born on October 23, 1932 in Lawler, MN to Irene and Lewis Schlee. She was married Raymond Skog on September 15, 1949 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Moose Lake. Louella lived in Windemere Twp. throughout the years and worked for several years at the Moose Lake Coop Store, Champion Auto, and Bumper to Bumper. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Moose Lake, serving on the altar guild and making quilts with Busy Bees.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Skog in 2000; her sisters: Florence and Joanne; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mauritz Skog, Alf Skog, Chester & Joan Skog, and Ruby & Bob Salmon.
Louella will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Maurine (Robert) Zoss , Barbara (Dennis) Arnold, and sons, Michael (Glenda) and Randy (Debbie); 10 grandchildren: Justin (Amanda) Zoss, Jeremy (Jennifer) Zoss, Jonathan (Jenny) Zoss, James Zoss, Joel (Tosha) Skog, Jean (Bill) Bistodeau, Nick (Sara) Skog, Greg (Shelby)Skog, Kristopher (fiancé, Megan Davis) Ludvigsen, and Kaylie (fiancé Brad Wourms) Ludvigsen; and 8 great grandchildren: Paige, Allie, and Taylor Skog, Madisson Folsted, Ramsey Skog, Parker Wourms, Aleah Ludvigsen, and Oliver Zoss; 3 Sisters, Lauretta (Harold) Nelson, Ceri (Larry) Anderson, Carol (Mike) Kerkvliet; a brother, David (Margie) Schlee; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Wanda Skog, Pat Skog, Dennis and Janine Skog, Judy & Bob Eaton; and Gene Carlson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
A Special thanks to nephew, Mark Salmon who watched over her and visited her almost daily. She also will be missed by her faithful companion, Jack.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake and continue from Noon until the 1:00 PM service on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Pastor Reggie Denton will officiate. Burial will be in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Twp.
