LOUIS "LOUIE" FREDERICK DAHLMEIER
Louis "Louie" Frederick Dahlmeier, 79, of Moose Lake passed away on Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake.
Louie was born on September 8th, 1931 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to William and Augusta Dahlmeier. He was a 1949 graduate of Moose Lake High School and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Louie worked at the Moose Lake State Hospital as an electrician and locksmith until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, the Moose Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Loyal Order of the Moose, Lion's Club, Moose Lake Rod and Gun Club, Good Sam Camping Club, and was the Moose Lake Airport Manager for many years. He loved time with his family, especially his role as dad, grandpa and great grandpa. He also enjoyed talking on the ham radio and fun times with all of his friends. Louie and Annette enjoyed traveling and camping over the years.
Louie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Annette (Orr) Dahlmeier; his sons Steven (Marilyn) and Michael (Josephine); Daughters Susan Waechter, and Karen (Tim) Coil; Grandchildren John (Lisa) Dahlmeier, Ryan Coil, Heather Waechter, Matthew Dahlmeier, Jason (Toni) Dahlmeier, Joshua Waechter, Adam (Crystal ) Coil, William Dahlmeier, Nathan (Holly) Coil, and Katherine Dahlmeier; Great-Grandchildren Audrey, Paige, Grace, Mercy, Carter, and Lauren and grandson-in-law Joshua (Natalie) Roeser and Fiona; Brother Curt (Karen), sisters Lucille (Marv) Peterson, Lois (Harley) Tennison, and Judy (Ben) Kjarum, several nephews, nieces and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ken (Emma), sister Phyllis (Harland) Clausen, granddaughter Melissa Dahlmeier Roeser and son-in-law David Waechter.
Visitation was held from 1:00 until the 2:00 PM Memorial Service on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hope Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
