Lucille E.
Wills
June 23, 1935 – March 31, 2025
Lucille E. Wills, 89, of Barnum, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2025.
Lucy was born on June 23, 1935 to Ivan and Dorothy Norman at home in Blue Earth, MN. Lucy was a longtime resident of Barnum. Lucy married Robert (Bob) Wills on February 22, 1958 in Superior, Wisconsin. Together Lucy and Bob shared the passion of farming on their property, Clover Valley Farm, where they mentored their boys throughout the years. Lucy and Bob farmed dairy cows, beef cattle and had various animals on the farm including draft horses and her cherished donkeys. Lucy worked at several local restaurants over the years, including Duesler's Coffee Shop, Caroll Inn, Gampers, and the Wyndtree. Lucy was known for her excellent cooking skills and prompt service. She proudly became a Real Estate agent and enjoyed that career until she retired. Lucy enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking, and was known for hosting large family holiday meals. She was famous for her amazing cinnamon rolls, corn bread, Christmas candies and cookies, and tubs of chocolate chip cookies for the farm boys to eat on the go. Lucy enjoyed a very special relationship with her sister Lois over decades of being married to brothers. Bob and Art were brothers and had a business called Wills Brothers Construction. Lois was always there for Lucy during her time in Moose Lake Village through visits, phone calls, home cooked treats, goodies, and ordering all the things Lucy desired.
Lucy is preceded in death by her husband Bob; parents, Ivan and Dorothy Norman; brothers, Lloyd, Harold, Dale and Jay; and grandson, Joseph Wills.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Kevin (Patricia), Derwin (Lauri) and Trevor (Kerry) all of Barnum; grandchildren, Tonia (Scott) Ostby, Jonathan Kamppi, Kevin (Starr) Wills, Jr., AnnaMarie (Tyler) Psyck, Adam (Abbi) Wills, Justin (Allana) Wills, Jamie (Erik) Engebretson and Justin (Kayla) Tranberg; great grandchildren, Sierra, Dakotah, ShyAnn, Emaley, Conner, Ebboney, Kevin III, Leo, Kenley, Lyla, Marshall, Evelyn and Hunter; great great grandchild Zora; sister, Lois; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A special thank you to the staff at Moose Lake Village for the many years of great care they provided for our mom. Also, thank you to St. Croix hospice for their comforting care.
Private service was held at Hamlin Hansen Kosloski Funeral Home. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Barnum, MN.
