Obituary

Lydia M. Davidson, 92, of Kettle River, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Villa Vista Care Center, Cromwell. She was born November 1, 1919 in Detroit Lakes to August and Hilda Illikainen. Lydia was united in marriage to Henry Davidson on February 7, 1942 in Cokato. Lydia and Henry lived on their farm in Pine City until selling it and moving to Los Angeles in 1960. While in California, Lydia babysat all of the neighborhood children. In 1987, Lydia and Henry moved to Kettle River. She loved flowers, gardening, feeding songbirds, baking and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Lydia was a member of Apostolic Lutheran Church of Kettle River.

Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; brothers; sisters; and 1 son.

Lydia is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Davidson of Bakersfield, CA and Gary (Debbie) Davidson of Oceanside, CA; 1 daughter, Linda (Doug) Moore of Moose Lake; 1 sister, Alice (Reino) Laine of Two Harbors; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
