Lyle "LeRoy" Colton

Lyle LeRoy Colton, 81, of Bruno, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Inter Faith Care Center, Carlton with his wife by his side.

He was born on February 12, 1934 to Harry and Clara Colton in Denham where he grew up and attended school. On August 1, 1970, LeRoy married Beverly Storebo in Askov. They lived in Bruno through the years. LeRoy worked at Conwed in Cloquet for over 25 years and later at Lakes and Pines for over 12 years retiring in 1999. He liked gardening, remodeling and building projects, body work and automotive repairs, teasing and joking. LeRoy also loved riding and working on his Harley. He was very proud of his 1964 Harley Sportster which he restored and also his 1935 Ford Car which he restored and gave the name, "Beauty".

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Clara (Peterson) Colton; a sister: Effie Kliniski; brother: Bill Colton; and two grandchildren: Matthew Tencer and Abigail Tencer.

He will be lovingly remembered his wife of 44 years, Beverly; four children: Venessa (Greg) Tencer of Heathrow, FL; Michelle (Clarence) Broker of Kettle River; Diane (Mark) Seefeldt of Carlton; and Dale Colton of Bruno; 8 Grandchildren: Chris Tietz, Tiffany Miller, Angela Tencer, Brad Tencer, Aron Broker, Ben Seefeldt, Nick Seefeldt, and Tyler Colton; 3 Great Grandchildren: Dakota Broker, Bentley Broker, and Wrigley Pearson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, from 5 – 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue on Friday, July 10 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke's Catholic Church, Sandstone. Inurnment will be in Bruno Cemetery following the luncheon. Memorials are preferred to St. Luke's Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.
