Madelyn Evelyn Peterson, 95, Moose Lake, died Monday, August 20, 2012 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born on September 5, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN to Frank and Lillian Hastings. Madelyn grew up and attended school in Moose Lake. After school, Madelyn worked for a time in Minneapolis and Duluth. She was united in marriage to Harry O. Peterson. They lived in Barnum and later in Moose Lake. Madelyn worked as a bookkeeper for the Moose Lake Coop Grocery Store and later as an activity director for Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake.
Madelyn was preceded in death by her husband: Harry in 1991; son: Charles in 2012; and a sister: June Dunagan in 2012.
She is survived by her daughter: Lorna (Ron) Thiel of Bothell, WA; a grandson: Joel (Allison) Thiel of Edmonds, WA; a great grandson: Joshua Thiel of Edmonds, WA; and a sister: Donna (Fred) Fitch of McPherson, KS.
A private family burial service was held in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Twp.
