Margaret R. VanSickle

Margaret R. VanSickle, 93, Moose Lake, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake.  She was born on October 21, 1924 in Hope, MN to Frank and Agnes Miller.  On June 21, 1947, Margaret married Darrell VanSickle in Owatonna.  They farmed in Harris and Margaret also ran a small beauty shop at thier home.  The family has many memories of tenting and camping through the years.  After Darrell retired, they sold the farm and purchased a motorhome.  Margaret and Darrell traveled out east to see family and then later settled in Ajo, Az.  In 2003, Margaret began living at the Hillside Manor in Moose Lake.  She enjoyed flower gardening at the family land near Kettle River.  She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell in 2006; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Jackie (Darwin) Doble of Englewood, FL; three sons: Delwin (Deb) VanSickle of Buffalo; Ron VanSickle of Kettle River; and Rick VanSickle of Moose Lake; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a sister: Veronica (Leo) Shaw of Apple Valley; and brother: Sylvester (Margine) Miller of Owatonna.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
