Marguerite Bade

Marguerite Bade, 88, formerly of Moose Lake, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Humboldt, IA. She was born in Moose Lake on December 16, 1926 to Carl and Hedvig Johnson. Marguerite grew up in Moose Lake and graduated from Moose Lake High School. After graduation, she worked for a short time in Minneapolis. On September 7, 1947, Marguerite married Melvin A. Bade in Moose Lake. They lived in Cloquet and in 1958 moved to Moose Lake. Marguerite worked at the Red Owl. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. In 2009, Marguerite moved to Texas and in 2014 began staying in Iowa. She loved to play bridge and was a great cook.

Marguerite is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin in 1993; a son: Kevin Bade; and two brothers: Bob Johnson and Keith Johnson.

She will be lovingly remembered by two sons: Kerry (Margaret) Bade of Plano, TX and Ken (Janet) Bade of Humboldt, IA; four grandchildren: Kevin Bade, Kirsten Bade, Dan Bade, and Scott (Erika) Bade; and two great grandchildren: Ollie and Audrey.

Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service on Friday, August 28, 2015 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Pastor Wendy Hjelmberg will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
