Mari-Lyn Balmaceda, 33, Roseville, died on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis following complications after surgery. She was born on May 7, 1975 in District #1 Benito Sulivan Isabela, Philippines to Felomino and Zenaida Lorenzo. During her youth, Lyn was a very active member in the church choir. She was also an officer in a high school program called Citizen Army Training. Lyn spent three years in the Convent where she strengthened her very strong discipline and manners. She also obtained degrees in the two fields of computers and nursing. Lyn also completed college classes in Reflexology and Swedish Massage. She moved to the United States in May 2005 to obtain a better life for her kids and her only wish was to have a "happy family". Her children were very important to her.Lyn was preceded in death by her Mother: Zenaida.She will be lovingly remembered by her significant other, Mark Kociemba of Roseville; and their Son: Zachary; Lyn's Son: Kyle and Lyn's Daughter: Elyka; by Mark's Children: Cortney and Lance; Her Father: Felomino Lorenzo; Her Brother: Nelson Lorenzo; and her Sister: Elisa Lorenzo.Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 10 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Father Eamonn Boland was the celebrant. Casket Bearers were Chris Aufderhar, Mike Aufderhar, Scott Aufderhar, Mike Sway, Gary Sway, and Stan Butkiewicz.Music was provided by Maggie Ackerson and Joanne Unzen.Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
