Marie E. Paulson

Marie E. Paulson, 66, Moose Lake, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her home. She was born on April 21, 1945 in Moose Lake to Hagen and Esther Metso. Marie grew up in Automba and attended Barnum High School graduating in 1963 and later worked in the Twin Cities for a short time. On April 3, 1965, Marie married Rodney Paulson in Moose Lake. She was a wonderful homemaker through the years and also dairy farmed with her family. Marie worked for 18 years at Mercy Health Care Center retiring in 2005. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Moose Lake. Marie loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending high school sporting events and crafting.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Hagen and Esther Metso.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Rodney; 5 children: Sheryl (Brad) Moe of Pequot Lakes; Russell of Moose Lake; Cindy (Tracy) Fairchild of Aitkin; Sandy (Tim) Strom of Barnum; and Mark of Duluth; 19 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; a brother: Jack (Dawn) Metso of Kettle River; a sister: Marsha Partin of Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Visitation was held from 1-3 PM Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home and continue from 10 until the 11 AM Memorial Service on Monday, Feb 6, 2012 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Pastor Reggie Denton will officiate. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
