Marilyn Henninger, 87, Barnum, died Thursday, March 28, 2024 in Essentia St. Mary's in Duluth.  She was born on September 19, 1936 in Shingleton, MI to Charles and Delma Pfisthner.  Marilyn grew up in Carlton County.  On July 26, 1952, Marilyn married Ernest Henninger.  They lived in Barnum Twp. Marilyn worked at Diamond Match in Cloquet and later at the Goodell Variety Store in Barnum for a short time. She later returned to Diamond Match where she worked until her retirement.  She had been an active member in the United Methodist Church and in her younger years loved to snowmobile and go camping.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 2021; her parents: Charles and Delma Pfisthner; and four siblings: Charles Pfisthner; Leland Pfisthner; Clayton Pfisthner; and Annetta Olson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Glenda (Mike) Svacina and Janice (John) Gitzen; three grandchildren: Michael (Jackie) Svacina, Jr.; Shawna (Dale) Olbekson; and Lindsay (Jake) Calliguri; four great grandchildren: Kaylee, Maverick, Monico, and Ashley; 6 great great grandchildren: Justin, Lane, Lacey, Ellianna, Harper, and Barrett; brother: Richard Pfisthner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 12:00 Noon until the 1 pm Memorial Service on Thursday, May 2, 2024 in Barnum Community United Methodist Church, Barnum.  Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Barnum.
