Obituary

Marion Pearl Drahosh, 94, Moose Lake, died peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018 in Oakview Assisted Living, Moose Lake.  She was born on January 5, 1924 to Asa and Josephine Fenstermaker in Arthyde where she grew up and attended school in Willow River.  On November 4, 1940, Marion married Frank A. Drahosh in Minneapolis.  They lived in Minneapolis and Excelsior until 1953 when they moved to Willow River where they dairy farmed.  Marion also worked as a waitress in Sandstone.  In 1958, they purchased the Sturgeon Lake Cafe which they owned and operated.  In 1962, Marion and Frank moved to Fairbanks where she worked as a waitress at the Do Drop Inn for 8 years until moving to Anchorage where she waitressed at the Travelers Inn.  In 1976, they moved back to Sturgeon Lake and Marion worked at Pike Point Lodge in Garrison from until 1978.  Marion then worked at Holiday Village which later became known as Market Place until retiring for the 3 rd time in 2008.  She was a very hard-working lady whom liked people, knitting, and cooking for family.  Marion loved spending time with her family and especially traveling with them to Vegas for family trips.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter: Kathy Flaten; grandson: Donny Carter; granddaughter: Lauree Carter; son-in-law: Jimmy Booker; and daughter-in-law: Elaine Drahosh.

Marion will be lovingly remembered by her three children: David Drahosh of Aitkin; Elaine Booker of Sturgeon Lake; and Barb (Mike) Davis of Anchorage, AK; brother: Sonny Fenstermaker of Rochester; sister-in-law: Emily Nalezny of Moose Lake; 9 grandchildren: Tim Drahosh, Terry Drahosh, Noreen Terry, Colleen Smith, Randy Booker, Roxanne McLeod, Kim Lundemo, Lori Olson, and Greg Burchett; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am service on Monday, March 12, 2018 in Faith Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Lake.  Spring Burial will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Birch Creek Twp.
