Mark E. Chmielewski

Mark E. Chmielewski, 49, of Champlin, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 in North Ridge Care Center, New Hope. He was born on September 26, 1960 to Florian and Pat Chmielewski. Mark grew up in Sturgeon Lake and attended Willow River High School graduating in 1978. He ran his own business and played trumpet and banjo in the Chmielewski Funtime Family Band. His four Daughters and Grandson were his priority and life. In the last year, Mark struggled with diabetes, vascular disease and kidney failure. Mark left with us many fond memories.

Mark was preceded in death by his Mother: Pat Chmielewski in 2003 and his Brother: Jeff Chmielewski in 2008.

He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his four Children: Amanda (Paul) Kerns; Ashley Chmielewski; Amber Chmielewski; and Alisha Chmielewski all of Brooklyn Center; his very special Grandson: Austin Kerns of Brooklyn Center; his Father: Florian Chmielewski of Sturgeon Lake; one Brother: Florian, Jr. (Cheryl) Chmielewski of Oak Grove; one Sister: Patty Chmielewski of Apple Valley; his nieces and nephews: Tony, Tiffany, Jodi, Nick, Lexy, and Kati; and his great Nephews: Ethan and Myles.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake. Father Steve Daigle was the officiate. Music was provided by Kevin Williams, Patty Chmielewski, and Florian Chmielewski, Jr. Casket Bearers were Tony Chmielewski, Tiffany Pacyga, Jodi Vacek, Nick Devitt, Lexy Devitt, and Paul Kerns. Burial was in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake.
