Obituary

Marlene Alice Anderson, 65, of Nickerson, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born August 15, 1948 in Duluth to Edward and Betty (Marciniak) Ahrendt. Marlene graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to Barry Anderson on July 1, 1967 in Duluth. Marlene was a lifelong waitress, working at Northern Truck Stop, Wheel-n-Inn Truck Stop, Hilltop, Happy Chef, Gampers and Chef's Café. Marlene enjoyed bowling, reading and she especially enjoyed time with her grandkids and family.

Marlene is preceded in death by husband, Barry; her father, Edward; son, Blaine; daughter, Chantel; brother, Bernard.

Marlene is survived by her mother, Betty Ahrendt of Duluth; son, Kalen Anderson of Cloquet; daughters, Dinel (Lance) Hollerbach of Nickerson and Chivon Anderson of Nickerson; grandchildren, Austin Hollerbach, Devlin Anderson and CaNaeya Starks; sisters, Doreen (Charlie) Lane of Duluth and Jeanine (Gary) Cogswell of Saginaw; numerous nieces and nephews.
