Marlyn Anderson 87, Moose Lake, MN, died peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021 in Moose Lake Village. She was born on March 3, 1934 in Benson, MN. On October 31, 1953, Marlyn married Eugene Courtney and to this union her son, Jeff, was born. They lived in Cottage Grove and Marlyn worked as an Executive Secretary for Brown & Bigelow for many years. In November of 1974, Marlyn married Leonard Anderson and he had two daughters, Leslie and Cydney. Marlyn and Leonard lived around the world as they followed Leonard's job thoughout the years. While they lived in Houston, Marlyn made a contact where she truly refined her skills of painting and making porcelain dolls. Marlyn had her own kiln and made all her doll pieces. She also was an amazing painter not only on the dolls but also painted murals on walls and ceilings. In 2019, Marlyn moved to Moose Lake where she continued her artistic passions. She will be remembered for being nice and friendly with the spice of being strong willed. Marlyn truly loved her grandkids and staying in touch with her extended family. She also had an incredible love for her cats including her current cat, Thunder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; brother: Lowell Taubert; sister: Doris Budd; and her mother: Louise Priebe.
