Mary J.
(Wojtysiak) Sturgeleski
March 11, 1939 – June 8, 2025
Mary Jean "Wojtysiak" Sturgeleski
Born March 11, 1939 - Passed on June 08, 2025
Mom did her best to fight several diseases. She passed peacefully Sunday morning at Oakview Assisted Living.
Mom is survived by her son Mike (Janny) Sturgeleski; Mike's son: Chris (Breanna), grandchildren Ella and Odin. Mike's daughter: Karyn (Mike) Spurling and granddaughter Savannah. Daughter: Annie (Joe) St Pierre; Annie's sons: Wesley (Kelly) Johnson, Blaise (Karie) Johnson, Cole (Cara) Johnson and Dean Paul Johnson and granddaughter: Graci Sturgeleski; siblings: John Wojtysiak, Josie Jurek, Dorothy Mullenix, and Bernie Howden; along with several grand pups.
Mom was proceeded in death by her son: Steve; her mom: Frances (Gresczyk) Erickson; dad: Joseph Wojtysiak; brothers: Joe and Bob.
Mom had several jobs during her 86 years on earth. Mom was a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, & a friend. She worked at General Andrews Nursery, Moose Lake State Regional Hospital and Moose Lake Correctional Facility.
Mom loved and took much pride in her yard and flower beds. She received much peace and joy while listening to polka music. Mom enjoyed her huge gardens on the farm in Sturgeon Lake. The long flower bed that stretched the length of our driveway. Mom carried that love to her home in Moose Lake. As time went on and her breathing got worse, she counted on several people to help maintain her gardens and yard. She never let us walk into the house without asking "Did you see how beautiful my gardens and yard looks".
Mom loved watching the Twins and Vikings no matter what time or day. She would always call one of the grandchildren to find out the game time or what channel the game was on.
She looked forward to the pictures and life updates from her family and friends.
Mom always looked and dressed like a lady. Heaven forbids if she didn't have lipstick on while heading out of the house. Mom is leaving an empty space in our hearts and lives. Mom, we love you.
Big thank you to the staff of St. Croix Hospice and Oakview Assisted Living.
A "special from the heart" thank you to George and Carla Milczark, Jackie Johnson, and Lisa Jurek without all your help we couldn't have done it.
