Mavis Ann Wiegert Heyn

Mavis Ann Wiegert Heyn, 80, Moose Lake, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. She was born on March 24, 1934 in Bottineau, ND to John and Myrtle Heinecke. Mavis attended school in the Turtle Mountains, ND. In 1951 she moved to Washington State where she worked for Boeing Aircraft for 8 years. Mavis married Bill Wiegert in 1952 and he died in 1977. In 1981, Mavis married Robert "Bud" Heyn. Mavis owned and operated Creations by Mavis from 1985 until 2000. She displayed her creations at various art and craft fairs and also in several Twin City businesses. Mavis truly loved her rosemaling!

She is preceded in death by her first husband: Bill Wiegert in 1977; her second husband: Robert Heyn; and her parents: John and Myrtle Heinecke.

Mavis will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Wanda (Tom) Jackson and Summer Wiegert; two sons: Steve (Miriam) Heinecke and John (Renate) Wiegert; six grandchildren: Caressa (Jason) Jorgensen, Jason (Sharon) Jackson, Jamie Jackson, Carl Wiegert, Elizabeth (Daniel) Wutzke, and David-Paul Heinecke;9 great grandchildren: DestiNae, Josiah, Nicole, Brandon, Ethan, Shawn, Timmy, Zander, and Dillon; and her sister: Joyce Madison.

Private graveside services with inurnment will be held in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
