Merton K. Koskey, 82, Moose Lake, died Monday, October 17, 2022.  He was born on January 5, 1940 to Raymond and Violet Koskey in Moose Lake where he grew up and attended Moose Lake High School graduating in 1958.  He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1963. Mert served 2 years in the United States Army where he was stationed in Panama.  He worked as an insurance adjuster in Indiana until he took over the family business  alongside his brother at the Moose Lake Ben Franklin.  He enjoyed sailing, cooking, and a good beer.

Mert was preceded in death by his father: Raymond; mother: Violet; and sister: Patricia.

He is survived by a sister: Pamela (Tom) Griffin and their son: Garrison (Heidi) Griffin; brother: Donald (Colleen) Koskey and their daughter: Nicole (John) Holmes and their son: Brian (Stephanie Welle) Koskey; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends are welcome to join a time to remember Mert and share stories on November 12, 2022 from 2-5 pm at Doc's in Sturgeon Lake.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local meals on wheels organization in Mert's memory.
