Obituary

Michael Roy Bumann, 57, of Barnum, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010. He was born April 22, 1953 in Duluth to Roy and Bernice (Paulson) Bumann. Michael was a graduate of Barnum High School. After graduating, Michael worked as a plumber in Florida, Alaska and Denver as well as part time for the Carlton County Highway Department. In 1993, he began working full time with the department. Michael met Diane Gould in 1993 and they were united in marriage on August 3, 1996 in Barnum. He enjoyed oil painting and lived for hunting and fishing. Michael especially loved spending time with his family. In 1991, sobriety changed Michael's life.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Diane Gould-Bumann of Barnum; son, Cal Gould of Duluth; daughter, Claire (Micheal Hoiland) Carlson of Mayer; parents, Roy and Bernice Bumann of Barnum; grandchildren, Allen and Olivia Hoiland; siblings, Ralph (Kathy) Bumann of Mora, Ron (Susan) Bumann of Barnum, Douglas (Tracey) Bumann of Hanover, Sharyn (Mike) North of Maple Grove and Daryl Bumann of Barnum; mother-in-law, Audrey Gould of Duluth; many nieces, nephews and cousins; many co-workers/fishing buddies and friends.

Visitation was Friday, May 21, from 5-7 P.M. and continued Saturday, May 22, from 1 until the 2 PM Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
