Michael Wayne Hayes, 55, of Sturgeon Lake, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. He was born February 16, 1958 in Moose Lake to Leonard and Vera (Couillard) Hayes. Michael loved the outdoors, fishing, animals, listening to music and especially spending time with family and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Leonard; daughter, Jessica "Seca" Hayes; sister, Bonnie Furey.

Michael is survived by his mother, Vera Hayes; 2 children, Lena (Jason) Koecher and Zachary (Sierra Stone) Hayes; 5 grandchildren, Caitlin, Hannah, Austin, Aleah and Ethan; sister, Susan (Bernard) Oetterer; several nephews and his dog, Gus Gus.
