Obituary

Mildred "Millie" A. Entner, 93, of Moose Lake, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake.  She was born December 24, 1923 in Birch Creek Township to George and Anna (Hovede) Johnson.  Millie attended West School and Willow River High School.  After graduating from high school, Millie worked in the Willow River School office.  Millie was united in marriage to Lester Entner on April 12, 1945 in Denham.  Millie and Lester lived in St. Paul and Minneapolis for a short time before moving to Birch Creek Township where they began farming.  Millie also worked as a Home Health Aide and was also a clerk at the Denham Coop.  She and Lester moved to Willow River in 1970.  Millie then worked at the Moose Lake State Hospital for 19 years as a Psychiatric Technician.  She also volunteered at the Willow River School as well as doing Prison Ministry at the Willow River Camp which she really enjoyed.  Millie was a member of Willow River American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of Autumn Voices for many years as music was a very important part of her life.  Millie also quilted at Willow River Presbyterian Church and was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church of Moose Lake.


Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Lester and her parents.


Millie is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth (Cheryl) Entner of Barnum and David (Deborah) Entner of Moose Lake; grandchildren, Nicole (Myles) Rowe, Kristine (Scott) Salzer, Paul (Alyssa) Entner, Phil (Angie) Entner and Bonnie (Josh) Bernhardson; great grandchildren, Noah, Lucy, Fraya, Matthew, Brianna, Loretta, Kyle, Tylor, Faith and Jacob; special cousins, Bernyce Wagner and Lowel Johnson; several nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be Friday, February  3, from 5-7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Saturday, February 4, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake.  Spring interment will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Birch Creek Township.  To sign the guestbook online, go to: www.hhkfuneralhome.com .  Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
