Mildred M. Hufford, 93, of Kettle River, died Monday, October 6, 2008 in Interfaith Care Center, Carlton.
She was born September 19, 1915 in Crosby to Jack and Hilma (Ronkainen) Niemi. Mildred moved to the Kettle River area in 1920. She was united in marriage to Chester Hufford on April 19, 1938 in Duluth. Mildred was a member of New Life Church of Moose Lake. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and was very active in her church.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Chester; her parents; 1 granddaughter, Julie.
Mildred is survived by 5 children, Jack (Kathy) Hufford of Mahtowa, Ruth (Ken) Howard of San Antonio, Marvin (Mary) Hufford of Milwaukee, James (Marlene) Hufford of Braham and Sharon Hufford of Cloquet; grandchildren, David, Dan, Laurie, Larry, Loren, Karen, Carmen, Kevin, Jamie, Donna and Tracy; great grandchildren, Sara, Megan, Jason, Ashley, Samantha, Cassandra and Johnathan.
Services were held Friday, October 10,at 3 PM Service in New Life Tabernacle Church, Moose Lake with Reverend Joseph Reece officiating.
