Mildred "Milly" (Schejbal) Paulson, 96, of Willow River passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born September 11, 1917 in Veseli, MN to Joseph and Alosie (Ferris) Schejbal. Milly moved to the Denham area in 1921 and attended Cherry Grove School before attending Willow River High School. Milly was united in marriage to Arnold Paulson in 1937 and they moved to Willow River. She and Arnold had 4 children, Bob, Audrey, Judy and Dave. Milly worked for her father in his shop before becoming a cook for the Willow River School. Arnold passed away in 1970. Milly was then united in marriage to her second husband, John Paulson in 1971 and they moved to Minneapolis where they lived for 10 years. While in Minneapolis, Milly was a cook at Holy Angels Catholic School in Richfield as well as an employee at J.C. Penney. Milly and John moved back to Rutledge and remained there until John passed away in 1991. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Moose Lake, WFLA Lodge #346 as well as the Willow River Legion Auxiliary. Milly enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards, picking blueberries, dining out and clothes. Milly also wintered in Arizona for several years.

Milly is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Arnold Paulson and John Paulson.

Milly is survived by 4 children, Bob (Marie) Paulson of Willow River, David (Judy) Paulson of Willow River, Audrey (Cy) Cyrus of Sturgeon Lake and Judy (Dominic) Jurek of Ramsey; 7 grandchildren, Kevin, Janelle, Becky, Jay, Lisa, Erin and Emily; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Danelski of Willow River and Helen Studnek of Alaska; 1 sister-in-law, Muriel Paulson of Lakeville.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 31, from Noon until the 1 PM Memorial Service in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Kevin Cyrus, Jay Cyrus, Bob Niznik, Dan Battaglia, James Wren and Scott Sears.

Spring Inurnment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Willow River.
