Myrtle (Strandberg) Anderson
Myrtle Anderson, 85, Moose Lake, formerly of New Brighton, died Saturday, March 7, 2009. in Diamond Willow Assisted Living, Cloquet. She was born on March 3, 1924 in Mahtowa to G.A. and Julia Strandberg. Myrtle grew up in Mahtowa and graduated from Barnum High School in 1942. On March 7, 1945, Myrtle married Paul D. Anderson. She retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1984 after working over 32 years in Duluth and Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul on May 31, 2008; her parents: G.A. and Julia Strandberg; a brother: Walter Strandberg; and a sister: Bernice Koivisto.
Myrtle will be lovingly remembered by her son: Vincent of Arden Hills; 2 granddaughters: Angela (Danny) Hollen of Pequot Lakes and Lisa Anderson of Maple Grove; 3 great granddaughters: Lydia, Chloe, and Gemma Hollen of Pequot Lakes; a great grandson: Owen Anderson of Maple Grove; 4 brothers: Clifford Strandberg of Mahtowa; Harold "Bud" (Virginia) Strandberg of Tacoma, WA; Darold "Jud" (Sylvia) Strandberg of Alma Center, WI; and Franklin Strandberg of Carlton; three sisters: Maxine Rautio of Mahtowa; Lucille Coppernoll of Barnum; and Beverly (Ross) Halter of Brooklyn Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gathering of Family and Friends was held from 11 AM until the Noon memorial service on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
