Nancy Jean Timonen, 88, Moose Lake, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in Essentia Moose Lake.  She was born in Denham on August 27, 1934 to Charles and Beatrice Rundquist.  Nancy grew up in Denham where she attended school and later attended Willow River High School graduating in 1952.  On January 31, 1953, Nancy married Arne Timonen in Faith Lutheran Church.  They farmed in Beaver Twp.  Nancy worked as a Human Service Technician at the Moose Lake State Hospital for 23 years retiring in 1995.  On May 10, 1995, Nancy married Robert Sorensen.  Nancy and Bob wintered in Texas for many years and also attended Faith Lutheran Church.  Nancy was a 4-H Leader and Fire Warden for many years and was on the Beaver Twp. Board "forever"!

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arne Timonen in 1982; second husband, Robert Sorensen in 1995; and a sister: Julayne Lounsbury.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Lauri (Michelle) Timonen; Kathy Garner; Michael (Jay) Timonen; and Beth Gelhar; five step-children: Robert (Lana) Sorensen, Jr.; Constance (Kurt) Gramms; Diane (William) Pelto; Mary (Robert) Pelto; Russell (Betty) Sorensen; two sisters: Marjory (David) Dobosenski and Karen (Vern) Larson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 10 am until the 11 am memorial service on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Faith Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Lake.  Lunch will follow the service.  Inurnment will be in Beaver Cemetery, Aitkin County next to Arne.
