Patricia Jane Morrell, age 80, of Duluth passed away, January 4 ^th , 2021 in Duluth. She was born in Withee, WI on November 21 ^st , 1940, the daughter of Cleto and Elanor (Miller) Laine.

Pat was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She lived a full life using her vast skills which she acquired while working in restaurants, and even law firms. Everyone knows her full time job was her family and most importantly her faith, a job which she never retired from.

Pat enjoyed baking, painting, and fishing. A natural teacher, she was sure to train and pass these skills onto her children and grandchildren who quickly adopted many of the same hobbies.

Pat will be remembered by her fiery red hair, her knack for finding hidden treasures at garage sales, her compassion, and above all the light that she shared generously with anyone she came in contact with.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and Cleto "Arthur"; and her brother, Tom.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Ana) and Matthew Morrell; sisters, Nancy and Judy; and her grandchildren, Samantha (Zachary), Melanie (Allan), Marianne (Jack) and Devon; and two great grandchildren.

There will be no official services held, due to the current climate of times, but her family wishes that everyone finds their own path to celebrate the beautiful life she led and her lasting impact on all who came to know her.

Pat's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the kind staff at Essentia Health – St. Mary's Medical Center for their tenderness and care during her transition to everlasting peace.

Per Pat's wishes her cremated remains will be laid to rest in her childhood town of Tofte, MN.
