Patricia Kay Grace-Probst, age 60, passed away at Solvay House surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 19, 2017 following a battle with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Pat was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa on April 8, 1956 to Anne and Walt Grace. She lived there until age 16 when the family moved to Dodge Center, Minnesota where she graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1974. Following high school, she continued her education at Mankato State University graduating in 1978 and then completed her master's degree in counseling at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa in 1987.

Pat married Douglas Probst on September 22, 1979. Throughout their lives they moved several times (Carroll, Iowa; Des Moines, Iowa; Green Bay, Wisconsin; Faribault, Minnesota) before settling in Moose Lake, Minnesota. Pat worked for over 35 years in various types of education, and recently retired from Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College where she was faculty/counselor. Her family was her number one passion in life. She loved reading, rarely missing a book club meeting. She had a passion for traveling, and had many memorable adventures with family and friends. Pat enjoyed biking, hiking, snorkeling, and baking. Her family always enjoyed her cheesecakes. Throughout her life, Patricia was involved in many organizations including Lakselaget (Norwegian-American women's group), facilitated grief groups, and served as a board member at Mercy Hospital for 8 years.

Pat is survived by her husband Doug, sons Geoffrey (Danika) and Lucas (Alexis) and grandson Taavi, sisters Pamela Edwards (Paul) and Jane Grace, sons from another mother – Elijah and Andrew Edwards and Dustin Sieben, and best friend for 40 plus years – Cherie Rollings. Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
