Paul David Nelson, 76, of Carlton, formerly of Mahtowa, passed away, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth. He was born May 23, 1937 in Faribault to Adolph and Addie (Sherman) Nelson. Paul was united in marriage to Astrid Salmela on May 20, 1961 in Mason City, IA. Paul is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Astrid; his parents; brother, Meredith; sisters, Ammey Nelson, Virginia Tobias and Jean Dalker, Ruth Aho, ½ sister, Neva Pencilstatler and infant twins.
