Obituary

Paul LeRoy Weaver, 91, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 in St. Anthony Health Center, St. Anthony, MN. He was born March 6, 1924 in Valley City, ND to James and Emma (Sowden) Weaver. Paul is a WWII Veteran of The United States Navy serving from August of 1943 to December of 1945. Paul was united in marriage to Lorraine Lillian Peterson on July 1, 1954 in Minneapolis. Paul began working on the railroad in 1952 on the Soo Line for Great Northern and Burlington Northern until he retired in 1982. Paul was known to his co-workers and friends as "Zeke". Paul enjoyed playing checkers with his brothers and cards with his family, going to Gene Autry movies when he was young and watching professional wrestling through the years with his son-in-law, Mark. He always enjoyed going to the North Dakota farms of his sisters and visiting family who remained there.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan Marie Weaver; 3 sisters, Berniece "Aunty Beet" Schneekloth, Virginia "Aunty Gin" Leadbetter and Dorothy "Aunty" Wolff; 2 brothers, Clinton "Uncle Clint" and Robert "Uncle Bob".

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Weaver; daughter, Jeannie Ann (Mark) Christenson; grandson, Karl (Moonsun) Christenson and their children, Benjamin and Daniel; granddaughter, Maria (Paul Bains) Christenson and their children, Asha and Aaron Bains.

A private interment took place on March 31, 2015 in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, July 18, from 1 PM until the 2 PM Memorial Service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
