Paul Michael Wold, 84, Kettle River, died peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at his home while surrounded by his family to whom he was always devoted.  He was born on March 13, 1939 in Colton, SD to Melvin and Myrtle Wold.  Paul grew up in South Dakota and later moved to Minnesota where he graduated from Ogilvie High School.  On July 17, 1959, Paul married Wilma Jean Stenstrom in Milaca, MN.  They lived in the Mora, Chisago Lakes, Forest Lake and Stacy areas of Minnesota and spent a year in Branson, MO where their daughter Janet was born.  One of his first jobs was at a creamery making butter and then as a contractor with his father assembling boats. He later worked at Federal Cartridge and then Glendenning Trucking.  In 1978, Paul purchased a farm in Kettle River.  He was a self-taught plumber, mechanic, carpenter, electrician and had a successful insulation business with his friend and partner, Lavern Larson. Paul loved farming, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed telling stories and had a great sense of humor. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Melvin and Myrtle Wold and a brother: James.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years: Wilma; three daughters: Betty Lou (Larry) Robinson of Stillwater; Janet (Gary) Farrell of Kettle River; and Kathy Wold of Kettle River; five grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie (Phil), Caitlyn, Madelyn, and James (Julie); and two great grandchildren: Garrett and Colton.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1 pm until the 2 pm service at Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home.  Following the service, burial will be held in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
