Paula Ostby, 69, Barnum, died unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 19, 2022.  She was born in Greencastle, Indiana on February 27, 1952 to Murl and Zola Jones.  In her teenage years her family moved to the Barnum area where she attended school. On April 18th, 1970, Paula married Dale Allen Ostby of Barnum.

Paula worked at various jobs throughout her life, but her most fulfilling job and career was loving and caring for her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and especially visits on the patio, seeing her grandchildren, camping and sitting around the fire, road trips, gardening, and crocheting. Paula was everything to her family and will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zola and Murl; and brother-in-law: Lyle Ostby.

Paula will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 52 years Dale; three children: Scott (Tonia) Ostby of Barnum; Lonny Ostby (Kristy) of Barnum; and Jennifer (Jason) Montgomery of Cloquet; her bonus daughter: Jodi (Glenn) Dianoski of Duluth; 11 grandchildren: Adam (Darlene), Hailey, Conner, Kaleb (Zoë), Brianna, Sierra (Keityn), Brayden, Dakotah, Shyann, Gabrielle, and Gemma; 3 great grandchildren: Lochlan, Zora, and Milo; 3 brothers: Kurt Jones (Julie), Murl Jones (Tina), Todd Jones (Melody) ; 3 sisters: Deborah Culbertson (Jerry), Shelby (Richard) Justice, and Sandy (John) Tucker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends all whom were very special to her.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 4pm until 5pm with Memorial Service to follow at 5pm on Friday, February 25, 2022 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
