Rae Leone Klein
Rae Leone Klein, 77. Kerrick, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born on July 11, 1934 in Hibbing to Edgar and Irene Vivian. Rae grew up in Morgan Park and attended school in Duluth. She worked in the mail room at the Steel Plant in Duluth. In 1953, Rae married Alfred Klein. They lived in Nickerson where Rae was a homemaker through the years and raised her family. She also planted trees during the reforestation project. In 1978, Rae moved to Morgan Park and attended Business School in Duluth. She later worked in the payroll department at Jeno's. Rae later moved to Kerrick and worked at the post office in Duquette which she always kept decorated for the occasion. Recently, Rae had lived in Cloquet until moving to Augustana Mercy Health Care Center. She loved crafts, needle point, bead work, bird watching, and crossword puzzles.
Rae is preceded in death by her special friend: Carl Relander and her sister: Jean.
She will be lovingly remembered by her seven children: Beverly Klein of Duluth; Anne Mathison of Ham Lake; Alan (Sue) Klein of Maplewood; Jim (Joanna) Klein of Prince George, Virginia; Mike (Deb) Klein of Duluth; Marcie Klein of Ham Lake; and Melissa (Bill) Seestrom of Ramsey; 14 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; a brother: Don; and a sister: Lois.
Gathering of family and friends were held from 2 PM until the 3 PM Memorial Service on Saturday,
October 15, 2011 in the Duquette Hall in Duquette.
