Raymer "Ray" Magnusson, 76, of Moose Lake, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. He was born December 8, 1937 in Washington Island, WI to Herman and Sarah (Bennett) Magnusson. Ray was a proud veteran of The United States Army. Ray was a potato farmer for many years on Washington Island, WI and was also a punch press operator. Later in life, Ray owned and operated Ray's Small Engine Repair in Moose Lake. Ray enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching the Packers. Ray loved to chat with everyone at the Moose Lake Co-op.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Kevin Paul Magnusson; 2 brothers, Kent and Neale.
Ray is survived by 3 children, Peggy Schnagl of North Branch, Dawn (Mike) Flipp of Moose Lake and James Magnusson of Roseville, CA; grandchildren, Michael Flipp Jr., Dane and Hope Magnusson, Danielle and Brian Schnagl and Amanda and Dana Goodwin; great grandchildren, Tanner Flipp, Jayden, Jayce and Carter Goodwin; sister, Rosalie Corwin of Jackson, MI; sisters-in-law, Nancy and June Magnusson; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, September 22, from 5-7 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Tuesday, September 23, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.
