Raymond "Ray" J. Adamczak

Raymond "Ray" J. Adamczak, 77, Kerrick, died Monday, July 29, 2013 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake.
Ray was born on February 8, 1936 to Leo and Genevieve (Wisneski) Adamczak in Kerrick Twp. He attended school in Kerrick Twp. and later in Moose Lake. Ray helped on the family farm. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country from 1958 until 1960. On May 25, 1963, Ray married Mary Melancon in Kerrick. They farmed for several years. Ray also worked for Kerrick Sod Company and Standard Construction both of Duluth, Don Bean Homes of Moose Lake, and Sandberg Construction of Sturgeon Lake. He enjoyed working with backhoe cats and bobcats. Ray especially enjoyed working with all the people he met through the years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Mary; five children: Timothy (Janet) of Barstow, CA; Roger (Lori) of Askov; Jeffery of Kerrick; Andrea (Jeffrey) Peterson of Kerrick; and Jamie (Jennifer) of Kerrick; four grandsons: Timothy Adamczak II, Anthony Nelson, Theodore Adamczak, and Alexander Adamczak; a granddaughter: Nycole Nelson; three siblings: Mary Jane Murphy of North Branch; Josephine Osberg of Duluth; and Ernest Adamczak of Wyoming, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 on Friday, August 2, 2013 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue from 9 am until the 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Father Eamonn Boland will be the celebrant. Military Honors will be provided by the Sturgeon Lake-Denham American Legion Post #361.

Casket Bearers will be Tim
Adamczak, Roger Adamczak, Jeff Adamczak, Jamie Adamczak, Andrea Peterson, Anthony Nelson, and Nycole Nelson. Honorary Bearers will be Lyle Devenport, Archie Olson, Robert Dusasky, and Gene Krech.

Burial will be held at 1:00 PM in the Duquette Community Cemetery, Duquette.
