Richard "Dick" Harold Hermansen, 94, of Askov died peacefully, Tuesday, November 24, 2020, in Golden Horizon Assisted Living, Sandstone. Richard was born on September 30, 1926, in Askov the son of Sven "Ove" and Helga (Jacobsen) Hermansen. Richard attended school in Askov before entering the United States Air Force proudly serving his country in WWII.
In 1952, Richard began working at Hormel Foods in Austin, Minnesota where he worked for 31 years. Richard enjoyed traveling, one of his fondest memories of this was an African Safari trip. In 1983, Richard returned to Askov where he enjoyed deer hunting, being outside, and going to Montana for elk hunting trips.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Sven "Ove" and Helga Hermansen; and his sisters: Edith Hansen and Lois Bodtker.

He is survived by his nephews, Larry Hansen of Stillwater; Darren (Marna) Hansen of Ellston, IA; his nieces: Sheri Schiller of Shoreview and Lois's daughters: Kathy and Nancy; and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service on Monday, November 30, 2020, in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Pastor Nathan Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Askov.
