Richard (Dick) Hancock, 88, Eagan. MN, formerly of Moose Lake, passed away at Stonehaven Senior Living surrounded by his family on Friday, May 9, 2025.    He was born and raised in Defiance County, Ohio.  Dick worked as a "pipeliner" and as a result lived in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Minnesota as well as traveling to many other states as an inspector.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, trapping, gardening, dogs, and watching sports.  Dick maintained his sobriety for over 50 years and for the last 2 years enjoyed sharing his wisdom and success with his grandson, Chris.

Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Norma; parents, Dick and Ferne Hancock; his brother, Maurice Hancock; sister-in-law Marguerite Hancock; grandchild, Adam Hancock; and son-in-law Tom Hoffman.

Dick will be missed by his children, Sue (Dan) Benzie of Moose Lake, Cindy Hoffman of Eagan, Randy (Diane) Hancock of Eagan and Kristi (Kelly) Bjerke of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Jason (Tonya) Benzie, James (Emily) Benzie, Chris (Ashley) Hoffman, Katie Petersen, Laura and Patrick Hancock, David and Ryan Bjerke; great grandchildren, Josie (Ian), Jamie, Nolan, Blake, Adam and Cameron; and sister-in-law Dianna (Jim) Walls of Michigan.

Dick's family would like to extend a special thank you to Stonehaven Senior Living and Minnesota Hospice staff who made his last days comfortable and supported all of us during his journey. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
