Love of my life, when God saw you getting tired, and that a cure was not to be. He wrapped his loving arms around you and softly whispered, "come to me". You didn't deserve what you went through, so he gave you needed rest. God's garden must be beautiful; He only takes the best.

Sadly, on December 6, 2025 Richard "Rich" Michael McClanahan lost his fight against cancer and went peacefully and comfortably to be with Jesus. He was born on November 9, 1968, to Richard McClanahan and Beverly Belle (Jenkins) McClanahan.

He was a loving husband, wonderful father, avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors especially when he was riding his horses, which were his pride and joy. He loved snowmobiling, riding in his side by side, and going to rodeos. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, friends and with his dogs.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beverly McClanahan; sisters, Sandra McClanahan, and Sandy Shackle; brothers, Michael Richard McClanahan; uncle, Harry Jenkins; Aunt, Janice Jenkins; and nephews, Casey and Shawn O'Keefe.

Rich is survived by his loving wife, Lynn McClanahan; his children, Kristine (Jeff) Erwin, Jennifer (Matt) Dahl, Joey (Jurney) Hunt, Andrea (Zack) Dahl, and Eva McClanahan; grandkids, Kaitlyn Rudloff, Jaxon, Austin and Adam Dahl; his sisters Heidi Gustavson and Linda O'Keefe; brother, Larry (Shelly) Coursolle; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, as well as many cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11 am in West Side Church, Kettle River.
