Richard "Dick" Summers, 87, Moose Lake, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his home in Augustana Kenwood Assisted Living in Moose Lake.  He was born on March 9, 1932 in Duluth to Miles and Beatrice Summers.  Dick attended Holy Rosary Grade School and later graduated from Duluth Central in 1950.  He proudly served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1951-1963.  On May 2, 1953, Dick married Jan Schneider in Duluth.  They lived in Duluth and Dick worked as a sales rep for Pennzoil and Gopher Oil.  In 1994, they moved to Moose Lake where he worked at Bumper to Bumper and the Moose Lake Chamber.  He loved everything about cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Miles and Beatrice Summers and a sister: Marge Thompson.

Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Jan; five children: Jim (Cheryl) Summers of Duluth; Linda Jensen of Sturgeon Lake; Rick (Linda) Summers of Wrenshall; Susan (Dean) Paulson of Moose Lake; and Ron Summers of Duluth; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 5-7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
