Ricky Fjosne Jr, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 15, 2025 at the Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, MN.

Ricky was born October 22, 1970 to Ricky and Mary (Bartch) Fjosne Sr. He lived with his family in Willow River, until his parents had to make the heartbreaking decision that he needed more specialized care. They first tried a place in Cambridge and then a school for the blind in Fairbault, before finding the perfect place for him to thrive, The Laura Baker School in Northfield, MN. Here Ricky accomplished more milestones than anyone thought possible. In 1992, he was moved to International Falls where the staff at LSS took excellent care of him until his passing.

Ricky worked many years at ODC before they retired him in 2021 due to covid. He loved sitting outside in the sun, listening to Rock & Roll music while he got ready for his day and just taking a van ride to get out of the house. His LSS family and friends would celebrate holidays, birthdays, go to lunch, take trips to the zoo, the waterpark or go to the beach together. They even held PALS events where they would get dressed up and go to Prom.

Ricky had this smile, squeal, and laugh that are unforgettable. He was a gentle, sweet soul and anyone that knew him, loved him.

Ricky is preceded in death by his Parents: Rick and Mary Fjosne Sr.; Grandparents: Donald & Emma (Janie) Bartch Sr. and Willard and Lillian (Puggy) Fjosne; Niece: Willa Glori Fjosne

Ricky will be lovingly remembered by his Sister: Misty (Dylan) Hiler; Brothers: Clint (Nicole), Blake (Soli) and Trevor (Cassie) Fjosne; Stepmom: Kathleen Fjosne; Nieces: Taylor (Shannon), Kelsey ( Hunter) , Melanie (Nathan), Emma (Landin) and Americus; Nephews: Mason, Logan, Ricky, Lincoln, Tyla and Uriah; Great Nephew and Niece: Ruxin and Lydia. Along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his family at LSS, Park House.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 2 pm until the 3 pm Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service in the funeral home social hall. Private inurnment will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery, Willow River.
