Obituary

Robert D. "Bob" Ray, 84, of Barnum, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at his home. He was born May 1, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Delbert and Clara (Strong) Ray. Robert was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was united in marriage to Sharon Jo Saylor on February 9, 1952 in Duluth. Bob was an electrician for the City of Louisville, KY and a member of IBEW Local #369 of Louisville, KY. He enjoyed fishing, bingo, karaoke, collecting coins, baking, sharing recipes and meeting new people.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Jo Ray; his parents.

Bob is survived by 2 sons, Robert Ray of Barnum and John (Therese Bourdage) Ray of Barnum; daughter, Michele (Timmy) Downs of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Rob Ray, Joe Dowell, Chris Burdick, Sharon Stone and Nicole Wilson; great grandchildren, Katelyn and Riley Dowell, Eric, Dylan, Conner and Jaina Ray, Stephanie and DJ Greenwell and Nathan Campbell; 1 brother, Jerry (Reiko) Ray of Marion, TX; companion, Anita Brown of Louisville, KY and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, August 25, from 3-8 P.M. in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Visitation will be Monday, August 25, from 3-8 P.M. in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.

A visitation will also be held in Louisville, KY, Friday, August 29 from 1-8 P.M. in W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, Louisville, KY and will continue Saturday, August 30 at 9 AM until the 10 AM Service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethany Memorial Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
