Robert "Bob"
Cisar
November 7, 1940 – August 4, 2018
Robert "Bob" Cisar, 77, Willow River, formerly of Moose Lake, died peacefully at home on Saturday August 4, 2018 surrounded by his family, after a hard fought battle with Leukemia and MDS. He was born on November 7, 1940 at home in Denham to Frank and Georgiann Cisar. He grew up in the Denham area and attended various rural schools. At an early age, Bob helped his brothers on the milk route and when old enough, bought his own milk truck and worked for the Moose Lake Creamery. His love for truck driving continued and he worked for various trucking companies until he was injured in 1979.
Bob married Sandra Madsen October 29, 1960 in Minneapolis. They made their home and raised their family in Moose Lake for the next 53 years. In 2013, Bob got his wish and they moved back to Willow River.
Bob was drafted into the Army in 1966 and he spent the next two years in Fort Hood Texas, where he met and continued lifelong friendships with a group of wonderful men. He looked forward to his yearly Army reunions.
Bob was a member of the Moose Lodge and earned a lifelong Fellowship Degree. Bob loved hunting, golfing, wintering in Texas and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was a very compassionate and caring man. He could talk to anybody and spent many days at Roos Motors visiting with staff, customers and dreaming about his next new vehicle. When asked about life events, he recalled them by associating them with the vehicle he had at the time. Bob also kept the phone company in business while talking with his friends and family for hours at a time.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Georgiann Cisar; sister: Shirley Kiminski; brother: Don Cisar; and an infant brother: Franklin.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Sandra; 3 children and 9 grandchildren: Dan (Cathy) Cisar of Lino Lakes and sons Tim and Brad; Michael Cisar of River Falls, WI and sons Jacob, Mason, Jeffrey and step-daughter Kaylah (Jake) Chitouras; Kristi (Karm Hedley) Cisar of Willow River and and sons Robert, Tommy and Louie Kliniski; four siblings: Donna Mae Sheforgen, Duane (Pauline) Cisar, Kenny Cisar, and Sandi (Duane) Olson; brother-in-law: Jake Kiminski; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 10 am until the 11 am services on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Lunch and fellowship will follow the services at the church. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at 1:15 PM at Sunnyside Cemetery, Willow River.
