Robert "Bob" C. Konieska, 85, of Moose Lake, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.  He was born June 26, 1931 in Moose Lake to Harry and Florence (Levandowski) Konieska.  Bob attended Moose Lake High School and played on the football team.  After high school, he joined the Army.  Bob was stationed in Germany for most of his 20-year Army career.  Bob was a Vietnam Veteran.  After retiring from the Army, Bob and his family returned to the Moose Lake homestead.  He opened and operated Bob's Automotive on Konieska Road, Moose Lake until his passing.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Monika; his parents; daughter, Judith Fishback; son-in-law, Thomas Fishback, Sr.; brother, Donald Konieska; sister-in-law, Joyce Konieska.

Bob is survived by 2 sons, Tony (Deborah) Konieska of Sturgeon Lake and Ron Konieska of Willmar; grandchildren, Tymon Konieska of Sturgeon Lake, Matthew (Mandi) Konieska of Shakopee, Krysta Konieska of Barnum, Adam, Konieska of Fargo, ND, Kathryn Konieska of Massachusetts, Thomas (Machelle) Fishback of Willow River, Paul Fishback of Apple Valley, Monika Fishback of Duluth and Brandon Fishback of Apple Valley; great grandchildren, Brianna and Brooke Konieska.

Visitation will be Friday, January 13, from 1 PM until the 2 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
