Robert "Bobby" Kwapick
Robert "Bobby" Kwapick, 51, Willow River, died Thursday, November 19, 2015 following a motor vehicle accident. He was born on June 13, 1964 in Moose Lake to Stanley "Stash" and Barb Kwapick. Bobby grew up in rural Willow River where he helped on the family farm and graduated from Willow River High School. After school, he began working construction which he worked all of his life with the exception of the time he was healing from his four wheeler accident from March 2012 until January 2015 when he went back to work and had been working to the present day until his death. Bobby was known to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it and loved helping at his parent's farm. He also loved to four wheel, snowmobile, hunt and fish but his true passion was demolition derbies. Bobby loved being part of Bad Attitude Derby Team with his nephews and brothers and participated in the Carlton County Fair Demolition Derby many times.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Martin and Rose Kiminski; and his Godfather: Clifford Kwapick.
Bobby will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Stash and Barb Kwapick of Willow River: 7 siblings: Jim (Mary) Kwapick of Sturgeon Lake; Dale (Michelle) Kwapick of Sturgeon Lake; David (Nancy) Kwapick of Finlayson; Stan (Ruth) Kwapick of Willow River; Steve (Laura) Kwapick of Grand Rapids; Sharon (DuWayne) Gunderson of Sturgeon Lake; and Debbie (Bill) Eaton of Sturgeon Lake; special friend: Rebecca Nelson of Willow River; Godmother: Marcella Kwapick of Circle Pines; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the Noon Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 23, 2015 in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake. Father Kris McKusky will be the celebrant. Joy Novak will be the musician. Casket Bearers will be Nick Kwapick, Kenneth Eaton, Justin Eaton, David Mallory, Matt Gunderson, Chris Gunderson, and Brandon Rayburn. Honorary Bearers will be Dennis Wetchen and Mike Hennager. Burial will be in St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery, Sturgeon Lake.
The family would like to personally thank everyone for their support during this time. No formal thank you cards will be sent due to the overwhelming support received but please accept our gratitude for helping us during our loss.
