Robert "Rob" Wilson, 64, of Sturgeon Lake, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 in Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.  Rob was born October 1, 1952 in Minneapolis to Bruce and Sharon (Giese) Bennett.  Rob was a Veteran of The United States Army who served during Vietnam.  He was united in marriage to Ruby Olsen on June 8, 1996 in Lake Havasu, AZ.  Rob enjoyed fishing, hunting, his hobby farm, his chickens and his dogs.  Rob lived his life serving others.  He loved the outdoors and was a strong family man.  Rob especially loved spending time with his grandkids.

Rob is preceded in death by his parents; step father, Floyd Wilson; brother, Thomas and sister, Bonnie.

Rob is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Wilson; children, Christopher Wilson, Kevin (Maria) Wilson, Levi (Jessica) Wilson, Luke Wilson, Shannon (Pam) Dagel and Bryan (Michelle) Dagel; grandchildren, Taylor, Nevaeh, Maxamus, Ashly, Autumn, Brandon, Zoe, Gavin, Alexander, Evan, Ethan, Lindsy, Andrew, Daniel, James, Lily and Kate; great grandchildren, Sylas and L.J.; sisters, Cindy Wilson and Stacy (Chad) Smith.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, May 18, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service in Faith Lutheran Church, Birch Creek Township.
